Good evening Commanders and church leaders; I have the pleasure of extending to you and your Church an invitation to come to our GMA awards/ Honor Star Crowning night on June 15 th., 2008. We will be having 3 Gold Medals handed out, and 5 Honor Stars will be crowned. These are the first Gold medals recieved by any of our church's boys. The Ceremony will start at 6pm with our boys recieving their Medals first. The Girls will recieve their Crowns right after the boys. Our Sectional Commander will be presenting the Medals and giving the charge. There will be a display table for each boy and girl with scenes from their climb to the top Honor of their respective programs. There will be a time of fellowship and desert after the ceremonys. Chris Hamilton, current Penn-Del District West Division Senior Guide, will be receiving his Gold Medal of Achievement on April 19 from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship church, Johnstown, PA. On August 11, 2007, 6pm, at Newport Assembly of God, Eric Kemble will be awarded the Gold Medal of Achievement (with 2 Gold Buffalos) during a special evening service. He is the tenth Royal Ranger from Outpost # 68 to earn this award.
In addition to earning his Gold Medal of Achievement, Eric has also completed JTC and AJTC and hopes to attain his saber. Eric "Tree Climber" Kemble is also active in FCF, where he has attained the rank of Buckskin (and will be going for Wilderness this fall) and Bourgeois in Trapper's Brigade. Eric is also the current assistant scout for the George Washington Chapter and hopes to compete for National Scout at the Territorial Rendezvous this fall.
The service will be held at Newport Assembly of God Church in Newport , Pennsylvania . The church is located at on 253 N. 6th Street , Newport , Pennsylvania . There will be a time of refreshments (including sandwiches) and fellowship after the service. Please call Mike Schechterly at (717) 379-4760 to RSVP by Friday, August 3rd.
