Chaplain's Message: Monday, March 5, 2007 Any organization that wants to continue fulfilling its mission must learn to be a good steward of its resources. Every Royal rangers Commander in the Penn Del District needs to recognize we serve a common goal, “To reach, teach and keep boys for Christ”. We must never take for granted the trust placed in us as leaders of boys. The single greatest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development. Everything rises and falls on leadership. There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them up as leaders, and continually develops them. Every Commander has an obligation to the Ranger ministry to work to improve our services so we might meet the needs of our organization. Each ones personal development adds value to the ministry; we need to embody excellence in everything we do for the common good of Royal Rangers. “You can do what I cannot do. I can do what you cannot do. Together we can do great things.” –Mother Teresa. We must not stand in the way of growth for the organization; in order for us to realize future growth we need to grow leaders so we might expand our staffs, present the training available to us, and explore new possibilities that can take us to the next level. Let us make every effort to communicate the value of Royal Rangers to every church, every pastor, to every person willing to listen so we can get to the next level sooner than later. May God enable you to become a better team member. Joe Finan |
