Please pray for the family of U.S. Army Pfc. Eric Gonzalez after his passing. Eric was a part of our Royal Ranger program from Straight Arrows all the way up to Adventure Rangers. He was killed outside of Bagdad on Sunday from a roadside bombing. Please put this on the website and I will get more information to you as I get it. Below if the local newspaper article:

Cmdrs.
Many of you know Harry Hawm who is a faithful commander in the northeastsection with OP #80, Peckville, PA. Harry's home was destroyed by fire aday ago and is in need of our help. His family is virtually homeless. The NE Section is setting up a fund tohelp the Hawm family with expenses. The primary intent of the fund will befor the purchase of a new home or to cover the deposit/rent payment on a newdwelling.
We often become very comfortable and content with the lifestyle we haveestablished for ourselves and the possessions that we have amassed, but fireis final. It only takes an event like this to make us realize just howfragile life can be and how quickly we can be set back on or heels and seelife take a drastic change. Some things can be replaced, but personaleffects are gone forever. They are virtually starting life over.
I truly believe it is our moral duty and obligation to help our Christianbrother and fellow Royal Ranger Commander in their time of need and ask thatyou consider helping financially with this need. If you can contribute tothis need, please make checks payable to the NE Section Royal Rangers andmark specifically for Harry Hawm and family and send to the following
address:
Jody Hummel
387 Old State Road
Sweet Valley, PA 18656
Please distribute this to others throughout the district and within yoursections. Let's show our brother that we really care and are there for him. Also, keep the Hawm family in prayer during this time of need.
Truly honored to help,
Greg Scott
District Cmdr.
