Penn-Del District Prayer Requests

Pray for Perry Siddle National Training Coordinator

Many of you know that last month Perry underwent a difficult surgery. We promised to keep you in the know as best we could. While the details I’m at liberty to share are few, it is accurate to say that Perry is fighting for his life. He and his wife, Lisa, and their three daughters need our prayers.

While Perry is undergoing various treatments, he is witnessing to the nurses, and the unexpected improvements he is making are a testimony to the doctors of God’s healing power. He is walking in his room as often as his strength permits. In every way, Perry is fighting, and I want to invite you to fight with him in prayer.

Would you pray for him personally and rally every prayer warrior you know to his side? Let’s ask God for his full healing!

Doug Marsh

National Commander

Prayer for Geesaman Family

Please pray for the Geesaman family. Herman Geesaman suffered the loss of his grandson, Curtis, this past Wednesday, July 16th. Curtis was the 15-year old son of Troy and Kim Geesaman, Hamilton Twp. near Harrisburg, PA. Curtis died after an injury he sustained while at his church’s summer youth camp. In short, he suffered a brain hemorrhage and swelling which caused him to pass out and never regain consciousness. Curtis always wanted to help others and through organ donations he saved the life of a 53-year old man and a 45-year old woman. See the article at http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/local/2008/07/17/ddn071808headinjuryfolo.html The entire family covets your prayers for comfort, peace and mercy. They are comforted to know that he’s in God’s arms now, but their arms and hearts feel so empty without him. Please hold them all up in prayer.

Just One Minute of Prayer

We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land. This upcoming election is the most important one of our lifetime.

Cyclones, tornados, massive flooding, earthquakes. Food, fuel, homes, jobs, are in peril. Wars, and murders are too numerous to comprehend.

Do you believe we can take God at His word? Call upon His name, then stand back and watch His wonders to behold. This scripture gives us, as Christians, ownership of this land and the ability to call upon God to heal it.

1 Chronicles 7:14: If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

During WWII, there was an advisor to Churchill who organized a group of people who dropped what they were doing every night at a prescribed hour for one minute to collectively pray for the safety of England, its people and peace. This had an amazing effect as bombing stopped. There is now a group of people organizing the same thing here in America. The United States of America and our citizens need prayer more than ever ! ! !

If you would like to participate: each evening at 9:00 PM Eastern Time (8:00 PM Central, 7:00 PM Mountain, 6:00 PM Pacific), stop whatever you are doing and spend one minute praying for the safety of the United States, our troops, our citizens, for peace in the world, the up-coming election, that the Bible will remain the basis for the laws governing our land and that Christianity will grow in the U.S.

If you know anyone who would like to participate, please pass this along.

Someone said if people really understood the full extent of the power we have available through prayer, we might be speechless. Our prayers are the most powerful asset we have.

Thank You. Please pass this on to anyone who you think will want to join us.

'...but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.' (Josh.24:15)

prayer request: OP 185

I was contacted by RangerKids Commander Jane Gausman Outpost 185 (St. Marys), that her great Nephew, Aries, from northern Potter County had a bicycle accident. In the accident the handle bar penetrated the chest and punctured his liver and lungs. He was treated at Coudersport hospital and transferred to Buffalo. Because of his injuries he is in an induced comma and the doctors are only giving him a 50/50 chance of making it. Please lift Aries up in prayer.

Also Sr. Commander Rich Dibble of Outpost 102 (Bradford) is scheduled to undergo pep & ct scans  later this week to see if the chemo is having any effect on his cancer. If it isn't reducing or maintaining the cancer Rich will have to decide if he wants to continue having chemo. The Doctor has previously told rich the cancer is inoperable and terminal, and as long as he can stand the chemo and it works he will live. Rich is in good spirits and still looking ahead for his future here but is also aware of his potential of going to see his Savior. The possible decision he may have to make is weighing on him. Our God is an awesome God and all things are possible thru Him. Please lift Rich up and pray for God's will to be done and for Rich to be blessed by the Comforter in his time of need.

For those of you who have been praying for Jimmy the drummer from a St. Marys band who broke his back in an ATV accident, God has blessed him with not having to undergo surgery. The chards of bone from his vertebrae that are against the spinal chord are not being adversely effected by bone growth and so he will not have to have them removed. He is still in a brace and a lot of pain so continue to lift him in prayer on his recovery.

Thanks & God Bless,
Doug Tyger
