Please pray for Joe Starr and his family and distribute this prayer request. I received sad news yesterday that Joe Starr, former South Central Section Commander, has only a couple days left to live. I do not know any details of the circumstances or his condition, but he and his family are in need of prayer. Please lift them up during this difficult time. Joe was and is a solid rock in the Royal Ranger ministry and his presence will be missed.

Update on Jody Tyger

Jody Tyger, Doug Tyger’s wife, underwent surgery yesterday morning, Sept. 28^th, to remove cancer from her body. She is doing well and Doug indicated that all went well and that the doctors feel they got all of the cancer. She will be in the hospital for a couple of weeks. Please keep her and Doug in your prayers. She would appreciate your cards and they can be sent to UPMC Passavant Hospital, 9100 Babcock Blvd., Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Rich Dibble Goes Home

On August 6^th, at 12:20 AM this morning, Rich Dibble lost his bout with cancer and went home to be with the Lord. The viewing will be Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Mascho Funeral Home on 75 Kennedy Street in Bradford, PA. (814) 368-8296. Gary is serving in Iraq while his young wife is fighting cancer here. See his request below.

My name is Gary Hogman. Some of you receiving this know me, some do not.

My wife, Cindy, is 32 years old and has just been diagnosed with stage 4

cervical cancer and her chances for survival are very slim.

She was pregnant with our second child and had miscarried recently at 3

months, and now we know why. This is a request for you to forward this

e-mail to everyone you know asking for prayer. The more people that pray for

her to be healed, the better.

Pray and forward. It only takes a second to hit 'forward'.

Please do it and don't delete this, your prayer can, and perhaps will, save

her life. Please pray and ask everyone you know to pray for the HEALING of

Cindy and the removal of all cancer in her body, so she may enjoy all that

life has to offer, and to continue to be the wonderful mother to our

5-year-old son Michael. The power of Prayer is unsurpassed. I want the whole

world to have her in their prayers the next few weeks. God will hear our

cry. Please do not be offended by my plea.. This is only a request for your

Many of you remember our fellow Royal Rangers Dave and Judy Davenport. Last night, Wednesday, April 22^nd, their daughter, Kelsi Davenport, went home to be with our Lord and Savior. She was out visiting her brother, Eric, in Oklahoma when she became ill and they took her to the emergency room. Information that is available at this time indicates that she had bleeding in her brain. She did not survive the night. Praise God she knew the Lord and is with him in his comfort and loving hands. Please pray for our brother and sister Davenport and their family. It is difficult to lose any family member, but even more difficult when it is one of your children. Pray the Lord’s comfort and blessings upon them during this difficult time. More information will be provided when available.

Please continue to hold Joe Sorbo, our Northwest Sectional Commander, up in your prayers. He went home from the District Leaders Conference two Saturdays agp with stomach pains and upset stomach. He went into the hosipital the following day and had surgery that week to have adhesions removed from his stomach. He has been in the hospital two weeks now. He is doing better, but needs your prayers.

On Sunday of last week they put him in the hospital and he underwent surgery last week to have lesions removed from his stomach. He is doing much better, but needs your prayers for a speedy recovery and relief from the pain.

Prayer for Mark Lance and Family

Please pray for Mark Lance and his family and in particular for his daughter Tonya. She is 24 and was married last August 2008. Her husband Justin just took his own life on March 31^st. He was only 26 years old. Although they had no children together, Justin had a little 4 year old daughter, Samantha, from a previous marriage. Justin gave his heart to the Lord last year and they attended El Shaddai A/G in Nazareth, PA, faithfully every Sunday. Justin has been fighting severe depression for many, many years and was on medication for it. The latest meds that he was using to counter the depression were having a terrible impact on him.

Please keep Mark and his wife, Robin, along with their 3 children, Dustin, Melissa and Ciara in prayer along with Justin’s mother and father. If anyone would like to help Tonya financially they could send a donation in lieu of flowers to El Shaddai A/G, 585 Rose Inn Ave, Nazareth Pa. 18064. There will be a viewing for Justin on Friday, April 3rd from 6pm-8pm and then a memorial service on Saturday, April 5th at 5 pm. Mark Johnson Open Heart Surgery

Mark Johnson, father of Patrick Johnson, OP #22, First Assembly of God, Beaver Falls, PA, has been admitted to the hospital last night (Feb. 17^th) for open heart surgery. The surgery is to be performed on Wednesday, Feb. 18^th. Please hold Mark up in prayer for a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Keep his family in prayer as well during this stressful time. It is inoperable and terminal. He has been on Chemo and the Dr. wants him to see if he can be given another radiation treatment. Please lift him up in prayer. Prayer Request - Tom Shaffer

Please be in prayer for Tom Shaffer, our District Missions Coordinator and long time Royal Ranger commander in the Penn-Del District.

His wife, Vickie, contacted me early this afternoon to let me know that they have admitted Tom to the hospital for observation and testing due to pains he was having in his chest.

No conclusions have been drawn as yet indicating the cause of the pains. Further information will be issued as updates are received. Your prayers for Tom, Vickie and their family are coveted.

Rona Stanek, wife of Paul Stanek, our National Training Coordinator
Emeritus, passed away today, Christmas Eve. Rona has been battling cancer
for several years.

The funeral will be held at Park Place Assembly of God in Springfield,
Missouri, Monday, Dec 29th, at 11:00 AM.

Rona is survived by her husband Paul, son Chip and his wife Layla, and a
baby grandchild.

Bro. Manny Hernandez - Spanish Eastern District Commander

Unfortunately, after seemingly getting better, District Commander Manny Hernandez has landed in the hospital once again. This time after some discomfort and pain Commander Hernandez went to the hospital where they found a blood clot in one of his arteries near his lungs. He was admitted and a procedure took
place to break down the clot and a filter was placed in his artery. They were also able to find another artery that was weak and slowly bleeding.

As of the time of this email he is still in the hospital but in good spirits. We are asking that you continue to pray for his recovery. We will let you know of any change in his condition.

Earlier this morning my mother-in-law Bonnie Allen went home to be with the Lord. She is now rejoicing with Jesus and other loved ones in heaven.

Dear Friends,

God has blessed me with the honor & privilege of getting to know a large number of friends who are strong, Bible believing Christian brothers and sisters. I am calling on you today to intercede for my mother-in-law, Bonnie Allen.

Just over 2 weeks ago I was at the Christiana Hospital in Delaware listening to Doctors tell the family that cancer had invaded her body and is at stage IV. This all happened in the past 4 months, when she visited the Dr. at the end of a bout with breast cancer and everything seemed fine. She is home now and in very critical condition with the Doctors giving up hope. It was less than 3 years ago that Bonnie’s 34 yr. daughter Hope passed away from colon cancer. My dad pointed out to me that just like the Apostle Paul states below in the scripture from Philippians, Bonnie realizes that for her to die is gain – and she is certainly ready to meet Jesus and Hope in heaven. But just like Paul also – even though it was his desire to be with God immediately, God had more for him to do on this earth and more lives to touch for His Kingdom. If this is God’s will (and that is my prayer) for Bonnie, I know God can and will heal her physical body of this cancer.

Teach us the blessed ministry of intercession – to be like Jesus Christ who ever lives, not for His own pleasure or comfort, but to intercede for us. Teach us to pray like he does. Teach us to care, to give, to serve, knowing that the lives and eternal destinies of others are at stake. May we each live as mediators – presenting the needs and requests of others to You and in turn extending Your hand of grace, forgiveness, healing and provision to those who need Your help. Amen. Norman D. Kuhenbeaker Passing

It is with sadness that I inform you of the passing of one of our fellow Royal Rangers, Norm Kuhenbeaker, age 74. Norm passed away at 2:00 A.M., Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the nursing home. He was in the nursing home for about 5 weeks.

Norm was in Rangers from 1963 – 1985 and served as a senior commander and training coordinator in our district for many years. He will be missed; however, we can rejoice knowing that he is now with his Lord and savior. Please be in prayer for his wife, Lois, and family during this difficult time.

There will be a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at Bolock Funeral Home, corner of routes 940 and 390 in Paradise Valley, 1 Peterson Hill, Cresco, PA 18326, 570-839-3535.

The Rev. David Crosby will conduct a funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Keokee Chapel Cemetery, Paradise Valley.

Pray for Perry Siddle National Training Coordinator

Many of you know that last month Perry underwent a difficult surgery. We promised to keep you in the know as best we could. While the details I’m at liberty to share are few, it is accurate to say that Perry is fighting for his life. He and his wife, Lisa, and their three daughters need our prayers.

While Perry is undergoing various treatments, he is witnessing to the nurses, and the unexpected improvements he is making are a testimony to the doctors of God’s healing power. He is walking in his room as often as his strength permits. In every way, Perry is fighting, and I want to invite you to fight with him in prayer.

Would you pray for him personally and rally every prayer warrior you know to his side? Let’s ask God for his full healing!

Prayer for Geesaman Family

Please pray for the Geesaman family. Herman Geesaman suffered the loss of his grandson, Curtis, this past Wednesday, July 16th. Curtis was the 15-year old son of Troy and Kim Geesaman, Hamilton Twp. near Harrisburg, PA. Curtis died after an injury he sustained while at his church’s summer youth camp. In short, he suffered a brain hemorrhage and swelling which caused him to pass out and never regain consciousness. Curtis always wanted to help others and through organ donations he saved the life of a 53-year old man and a 45-year old woman.
