2006 Spring Trace

The George Washington Fellowship was blessed to have Jim Barger as the guest speaker at the 2006 George Washington FCF Spring Trace. It was held May 5-6-7 2006 at the Royal Ranger Center at Honey Grove Pa. Jim told us to know where we are headed. 21 Greenhorns completed the Frontier Adventure and were added to the Fellowship. Vince “Valiant Falcon” Fry ran a great introduction skit for the Greenhorns. “How many people do you know that can read”? ha ha ! !

A community meal of roast pig, baked potato, and corn on Saturday evening was delayed a bit by a slow pig roaster. The fellowship at camp around the serving table was excellent.

President’s Message

As we prepare for the Fall Trace there are some things we need to be thinking of, and I know everyone is planning their meals.

Wondering about will it RAIN, will it be cold, I need to bring my knife and hawk. But what I was asking myself is how many of us are praying for the Holy Spirit to move in the hearts of the Men and Boys this weekend. Maybe there are some who need to totally commit their life to Him.

Let’s remember to pray for our guest speaker, Rev Manny Hernandez that the Lord would use him to minister to us this weekend in a very special way. Let’s also remember to bring something for the Love Blanket and don't forget to bring an item for the Auction blanket; this is a big part in helping the Chapter support our missions. I look forward to seeing everyone at the Fall Trace. God Bless, Mark "Broken Lance" Lance.

 Buckskin Advancement 2006

Buckskin Advancement will be conducted very differently in Fall 2006. In addition to the Prerequisite Workbook, and the required merits there will be skills testing  done.

Ken “True Heart” Simmons has contacted Frontiersmen members with more details. This will raise the proficiency of our members and better prepare  them for Wilderness.
