Fred 'Hawkeye' Deaver Departs for the Great Rendezvous

Tuesday morning, March 1st, at 4:30 am Fred Deaver left this earth for his eternal Rendezvous. We all will miss him greatly, but we also take comfort in the knowledge that he is with the Lord and that someday we shall see him again. Please keep the entire Deaver family in your prayers in the days ahead as arrangements are made.  Keep all those in prayer who have been mentored by Fred over the years for they are also experiencing loss at this time.   Also, please be in prayer for Fred’s wife, Joyce.

Fred Deaver was foundational in the formation and ongoing support of Royal Rangers. His love for this ministry and mentoring the next generation of Christlike men had a huge impact.  Fred enriched our lives, and we will greatly miss him.

We all knew this day would one ultimately come and a sad day it is.  Yet, we can rejoice that Fred is now at the greatest Rendezvous ever.  He will be greatly missed, but we will soon see him again sitting in front of the shelter that the Lord has prepared for him.  What a great day that will be.

Below is the information that we have received from the Deaver family regarding his funeral arrangements.

Met him in Hungry Horse 84 As he leaned against a tree he called out to us. you boys ever set up a Tipi before? My squaw can do it in twenty minutes! He loved the boys more than any one I ever knew. And he reminded us that, they were the reason, that we were there. He told me if he didn't hang meat on the tripod in his yard, after a hunt, his wife would be embarrassed. He was great inspiration and a real motivator. I am sad that I never met him again, but I will up there!
