New 'Top Ranger Competition' Rolls Out

Attention Jr. Leaders and Leaders!

This is your opportunity to show that you are a top notch Royal Ranger.  Introducing the Top Ranger Competition!  You not only have the opportunity to be the ambassador or representative of Royal Rangers in the Northeast Region, but you could also earn a $1,000 scholarship!

The Top Ranger program provides special recognition to boys who have shown exceptional achievement and progress through their participation in Royal Rangers, church, community and school.  One young man will be selected to be the ambassador or representative of Royal Rangers in the Northeast Region for the remainder of the calendar year.  The evaluation will take place at EMPOWER16, the Northeast Region Royal Rangers Conference on January 30, 2016 in Harrisburg, PA.

In order to be eligible, a boy must:

· Be 14 years old as of August 31, 2015 and not older than 18 years old as of January 1, 2016.
· Be a Chartered member of a Chartered Outpost.
· Have earned the Gold Medal of Achievement or the E2 award.

Applications are due on December 15, 2015.

After applications are submitted and reviewed, the Ranger will be notified whether they are a finalist for Top Ranger.  If a finalist, the Ranger will be required to attend the finalist evaluation at EMPOWER16 in order to be selected as the Top Ranger.

One finalist will be presented as the Top Ranger.  This award will be presented at the EMPOWER16 banquet on January 30, 2016.  The winner will be a part of the Regional Staff and will be the main representative of Boys throughout the Northeast Region.  In addition, a scholarship will be provided for the Top Ranger ($1,000) and the runner-up.
