District Cmdr. We have never been more desperate than now for God to heal our land. This upcoming election is the most important one of our lifetime. Penn-Del Royal Rangers, Last night around 9:30 pm, Commander John Overton (NY District Commander) suffered a heart attack and went home to be with the Lord. Please keep his wife Ellie, the Overton family and the NY District in your prayers during these difficult times. Commander Overton was such a giant of a man – physically, spiritually and in terms of his leadership – he will truly be missed. Please pass this on to the others throughout our District. More information will be passed on as it becomes available. District Cmdr.
To All Able Body Workers, Commanders, please send this message out to all your men and boys in the district and in your sections as well as to the FCFers. Please don't just blow this message off and not distribute it. It is important. Our last workday of the year at our camp is scheduled for Saturday, June 14h. This is merely 2 weeks from our District Powwow and there is plenty to do to get the camp ready for Powwow, not to mention other items that just need to get done Obviously, if no one shows up nothing will get done. Last workday we only had about 14 people, the same ones that always come out. This time we need you to come out. We are building an obstacle course and Sherwood needs plenty of help. If few show up a little may get done, but will take longer. If we get the help that should show up we can get a lot accomplished and in a short period of time. The calendar was published back in August of last year so there should be no excuse that you did not know about it or have time to plan for it. If you have questions about the types of projects that are being planned please contact Paul Sheaffer at (717) 795-2992 or psheaffer@comcast.net. Please bring tools, weed whackers, etc., but most importantly bring yourself and your boys. Make sure if you bring boys they are ready to work and not goof around. If you are planning on attending, please let Joe Finan know by either calling him at (570) 586-4159 or e-mail him at jfinan327@epix.net to let him know so he can plan for lunch, which will be provided. Fourteen people will not get this camp ready for Powwow. I know I will see the usual faces at camp that faithfully show up, will I see you? Greg Scott District Cmdr.
