Urgent Prayer Request

Many of you remember our good friend and brother Dave Davenport, who spent many years in the Royal Ranger ministry.  On Thursday April 3rd, Dave fell from a ladder at work in a mine and broke his elbow, wrist and hand.   Dave was life-flighted to Presby in Pittsburgh...   yesterday he was still in lots of pain.  Please pray for a speedy recovery for Dave and that all pain is taken away.  Pray for his wife Judy as well as she will need uplifting during Dave’s recovery period.  Please pass this prayer request along to others.

Greg Scott

District Cmdr.

Workday Reminder

PENN-DEL RR CAMP WORK DAY - Saturday, April 12th

To All Able Body Workers,

Commanders, please send this message out to all your men and boys in the district and in your sections as well as to the FCFers.

Our first workday of the year at our camp is scheduled for next Saturday, April 12th. Obviously, if no one shows up nothing will get done.

If few show up a little may get done, but will take longer. If we get the help that should show up we can get a lot accomplished and in a short period of time.

The calendar was published back in August of last year so there should be no excuse that you did not know about it or have time to plan for it.

Some of the things that are planned for the workday besides general clean-up, grass and brush cutting are:

Installation of two overhead doors in the barn.

Repair of the single door on the back of the barn that was broken into,

Framing and installation of the 2x4 walls in the Blue room in the upper part of the barn to prepare for insulation.

Repair of the water leak in the upstairs bathroom of the house.

Repair and sealing of the camp picnic tables.

and more

Please bring tools, weed whackers, etc., but most importantly bring yourself and your boys. Make sure if you bring boys they are ready to work and not goof around.

If you are planning on attending, please let Joe Finan know by either calling him at (570) 586-4159 or e-mail him at jfinan327@epix.net to let him know so he can plan for lunch, which will be provided.

I know I will see the usual faces at camp that faithfully show up, will I see you?

Have a great weekend.

Greg Scott

District Cmdr.
