2008 Spring District Roundtable Notice

Commanders,

On Friday night, March 28th, at Christian Life Assembly, Camp Hill, PA, a Camp Council Board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.  All board members are requested to attend.  At 7:30 p.m., Jim DiNicola will be conducting a planning meeting for the 2008 District Powwow.  If you are a part of the planning committed or have been a part of the Powwow planning and implementation in the past, or if you desire to be involved, please plan on attending this very important meeting.  Light snacks will be available for all who attend. Space is available for those that want to stay overnight at the church.  Directions to the church can be found on the district website at http://www.pdrangers.org/

On Saturday, March 29th, the Spring District Roundtable meeting will be held starting at 8:30 a.m. and run until approximately 3:00 p.m.  Light refreshments will be provided for breakfast and lunch will be provided at the church by the District.  It is important that all district staff and sectional staff be present. Time will be allotted for all district staff members to give a brief report of their area of responsibility and updates on current issues or events.  Sectional Commanders will be given the opportunity to highlight activities in their section from last year and the upcoming year.  Please be prepared with this information along with applicable reports.  Numerous other items will be covered as well, including National updates, the upcoming 40th Anniversary District Powwow in 2008, 25th Anniversary Gold Medal of Achievement Association reunion and other upcoming events and new items, etc.  Breakaways will also take place for the East and West Division Fall Camporee planning. Following lunch, short breakaways of approximately ½ hour will take place for various committees to include FCF, Missions, Camps and Productions, Programs, Public Relations, RRA, and Training.  District staff responsible for these areas should be prepared to conduct the breakaways and discuss any items they may have and new goals and direction for their area of ministry, after which the Roundtable meeting will adjourn.

Commanders, this meeting is not just for district and sectional staff.  All outpost senior commanders, commanders, junior commanders, and young men and boys desiring to make a difference in this ministry are invited and encouraged to attend.  The direction for our district, the way the district operates, and what it can do for you and your outpost is determined by your involvement and much needed input.  Make it a point to attend this important meeting.  If you have something that you want to include on the agenda for discussion please let me know by March 26th. Any new resolutions to be considered must be submitted to me no later than March 21st. The dress for the meetings will be either Class ‘B’ or Class ‘C’ uniform.
