  • Prayer Request for Dick Hoffman

    Please pray for Dick Hoffman, our George Washington Chapter FCF vice-president. Dick was seriously injured in a construction accident on July 7th while he was working in a ditch when the bucket came off of the equipment and crushed him. So far they think only his pelvis was fractured.   Read More

  • NRMC to be held - Whiteford, MD (Sept. 25-27, 2015)

    There is a National Rangers Ministry Camp scheduled for September 25-27, 2015 in Whiteford, MD. NRMC will give instruction in basic outdoor skills and activities providing leaders with the skills needed to take their Ranger boys on exciting outpost activities outside their normal weekly meeting times. Instruction in effectively implementing the team/patrol method will be offered as a means to facilitate junior leadership development.   Read More

RR Leaders,

By now I hope most of your shopping is done, travel plans are made, and you can slow down, sit back, and enjoy the wonder of this season. My prayer for you is that over the next two weeks you find time to enjoy family and friends and have an opportunity to disconnect from your normal routine and engage in the real “reason for the season.”

This time of year is always a favorite because I’m reminded that God, Creator and King, chose to come to earth and live among us. It’s always amazing to realize that of all the places and people Christ could have chosen to host His arrival that He came in a stable to ordinary people. Before Mary and Joseph were the parents of Jesus and had leading roles in the Christmas story, they were simple, hard-working people. I love that God didn’t look for the uber talented, mover and shaker, or politically connected people; instead, He came to the lowliest of places and the most ordinary of people. This Christmas, may Immanuel, Christ with us, reveal himself in a fresh new way to you. You are His workmanship, the temple of the Holy Spirit; you are who He chooses to dwell in. Just as ordinary people were used extraordinarily because of Christ in their lives; you also have the connection to Christ and the potential for the extraordinary. Celebrate this season because of Immanuel, Christ with us (you)!

What's New?


We wanted to give a reminder that boys earning Adventure Rangers (BMA, SMA, GMA) or Expedition Rangers (E1, E2, E3, HGMA, Trail of Saber) awards must be completed prior to 18th birthday in order to apply for the award.


In case you haven’t noticed, all 18 Leadership merits are all completed and on TRaCclub.
