RR Leaders,

By now I hope most of your shopping is done, travel plans are made, and you can slow down, sit back, and enjoy the wonder of this season. My prayer for you is that over the next two weeks you find time to enjoy family and friends and have an opportunity to disconnect from your normal routine and engage in the real “reason for the season.”

This time of year is always a favorite because I’m reminded that God, Creator and King, chose to come to earth and live among us. It’s always amazing to realize that of all the places and people Christ could have chosen to host His arrival that He came in a stable to ordinary people. Before Mary and Joseph were the parents of Jesus and had leading roles in the Christmas story, they were simple, hard-working people. I love that God didn’t look for the uber talented, mover and shaker, or politically connected people; instead, He came to the lowliest of places and the most ordinary of people. This Christmas, may Immanuel, Christ with us, reveal himself in a fresh new way to you. You are His workmanship, the temple of the Holy Spirit; you are who He chooses to dwell in. Just as ordinary people were used extraordinarily because of Christ in their lives; you also have the connection to Christ and the potential for the extraordinary. Celebrate this season because of Immanuel, Christ with us (you)!

I appreciate all you do for this ministry and our Lord! Merry Christmas!

Karl S. Fleig

National Director of Royal Rangers
